Railway Viaduct, Malmsbury, is an enormous bluestone structure erected in 1859 to carry the Melbourne-Sandhurst (Bendigo) Railway over the Coliban River. The total length of the structure is 500 feet and the bridge itself is composed of five arched spans each of 60 feet. The bridge is faced with rusticated masonry and the voussoirs and impost mouldings, string course and the huge cutwaters are features.
